Part 1 is a small simple paper where we have 3 items, all current freshman students of a University, the list of all freshman student log-in usernames, Each student is assigned exactly one log-in username. Paper needs to be roughly 2 pages in length, explaining why the situation described above is a one-to-one mapping.

Then, create a real-life example of a one-to-one mapping. (Do not use a mathematical formula.) Explain what set constitutes the domain & what set constitutes the range. Show what relationship exists between the elements in the domain and the elements in the range.

Tell how the domain could be changed of your mapping in the real world example so that the mapping would no longer be one-to-one. Then show how you could change the range of your mapping so it would no longer be one-to-one.

The 2nd part is to write again 1-2 pages, that includes the following:

Situation: All University students have a mentor.

Explain why the situation described above is an “onto mapping”

Create a real-world example of an onto mapping. (Do not use a mathematical formula.) 1) Explain what set constitutes the domain. 2) Explain what set constitutes the codomain. 3) Explain what relationship exists between the elements in the domain and the elements in the range.

Explain how you could change the domain of your mapping in part A2 so that the mapping would no longer be onto.

Explain how you could change the codomain of your mapping in part A2 so that the mapping would no longer be onto.

When you use sources, include all in-text citations and references in APA format.
